Mandya: Two government school teachers met with a tragic end after the scooter they were riding on was hit by a car, near Palahalli, in Srirangapatna taluk on Sunday.
The deceased are Nagarathna and Manjula. Nagarathna taught at Bastipura Government Lower Primary School, while Manjula served at P Hoshalli Government Higher Primary School. The police said the incident occurred when the duo were returning after attending the National Talent Search Examination.While Nagarathna died on the spot, Manjula breathed her last while being shifted to a hospital. Srirangapatna police have registered a case.
