Why Quince is Known for Sweaters
One of the basics that the Quince brand started with in 2018 was Mongolian cashmere sweaters. Since then, they have added other natural fiber sweaters into the mix including organic cotton, alpaca, yak, merino wool and more.
Quince sweaters are thoughtfully designed, blending timeless styles with comfort and functionality, making them wardrobe staples that will last a long time (no fast fashion here!)
You can feel good about your sweater purchase because Quince prioritizes ethical practices, such as fair wages for workers and eco-friendly production processes. Additionally, they provide detailed information about the origin of its materials and transparent pricing information.
I’ve had the opportunity to wear quite a few Quince sweaters (both gifted and purchased by myself), and I’ve been very impressed overall (with a few caveats explained below.) Living in Minnesota 🥶❄️, you might even call me a sweater expert!

Quince Cashmere Sweaters
Quince is better known for its Mongolian Cashmere sweaters than probably anything else in their line. Made from Grade-A Mongolian cashmere, these sweaters are exceptionally soft and lightweight, yet warm enough to wear in the colder months.
The wool comes from Cashmere goats in Mongolia and is rated Grade-A because it has 15-16 microns width per hair (apparently, the thinner the cashmere, the finer the construction.)
Quince’s $50 Mongolian Cashmere Crewneck Sweater has been one of it’s most popular products for years and comes in a whole bunch of beautiful colors. And yes, they have a men’s version too. If you want to find out how amazing a cashmere sweater feels, but without the hefty price tag, this one’s for you!
Note: Past versions of Quince cashmere had been prone to a high level of pilling. While some pilling is expected with cashmere, the amount of pilling led to some mediocre reviews. Since then, Quince has introduced Cashmere 2.0 – a blend that is thicker, more durable and less prone to pilling. I have sweaters from both pre and post upgrade and I can tell the difference.

Quince Organic Cotton Sweaters
Organic cotton sweaters are a staple in my wardrobe. I love that cotton is a breathable, natural fiber that is very durable and easy to clean.
Quince has quite a few organic cotton sweater styles ranging from classic crews to cable knits to cardigans and turtlenecks. They use 100% organic cotton that is certified by OEKO-TEX Standard 100 which ensures that no hazardous substances are in the fabric.

Quince Alpaca Sweaters
Quince uses baby alpaca wool for its sweaters, which is ultra soft and silky and slightly warmer than cashmere. Alpaca is great at keeping you warm in cold weather but is breathable enough for milder temperatures too. Baby alpaca is also less likely to pill than cashmere.
Alpaca styles at Quince include crews, cardigans, polos and turtlenecks.

Quince Cardigans
Shoutout to Quince for making the BEST cardigans! I love me a good cardigan sweater – especially oversized ones in basic colors that I can wear with everything.
Luckily Quince has many cardigan styles to choose from in a range of fabrics (cashmere, organic cotton, baby alpaca and yak) and a variety of styles (oversized, cropped, structured and cable knit). Some with pockets, some without.

Quince FAQs
How do I care for Quince sweaters?
Every sweater from Quince will have care instructions on the label that should be followed.
In general, Quince cashmere sweaters should be hand washed in cold water and then layed flat to dry. The same goes for sweaters made from merino wool and yak wool.
Quince alpaca sweaters are dry clean only.
Sweaters made from organic cotton can be machine washed on a delicate cycle and tumbled dry.
How do Quince sweaters compare to high-end brands?
Quince sweaters offer luxury quality at a fraction of the price compared to high-end brands like Jenni Kayne, J Crew or Everlane. Their direct-to-consumer pricing allows them to keep costs minimal, without sacrificing quality or ethics. The only complaint I’ve heard is that Quince cashmere might be a bit more likely to pill than some luxury brands.
What is Quince’s return policy?
The return policy at Quince is generous and easy to follow. Items may be returned for a full refund or exchange within 365 days of the purchase date (some restrictions apply).
Once you initiate a return, they will send a prepaid shipping label for you to use.
I have returned items to Quince and the process has gone very smoothly.
Is there a Quince discount code?
Because Quince keeps their everyday prices so low, they do not offer ongoing discount codes and rarely have sales. They may offer limited items on sale during the holiday season.
