Ensures implementation of the Novartis HSE Management system and supporting programs (e.g. Office Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Compliance, Occupational Health, Emergency Response, Driver Safety, etc.).
Advise and align the HSE agenda with the Country Leadership Team (CLT). Represents the Country President in HSE matters vis- -vis government agencies, industry associations, and non-governmental institutions.
Develop the HSE network in the Country, help identify synergies, facilitate the exchange of knowledge, experience & good practices in the Country.
Upon request from Global HSE assists with special expertise e.g. coordination of training, risk analyses, environmental impact assessments, acquisitions, divestitures, legislation, compliance auditing and Country HSE communications (e.g. NGOs).
Minimum requirements What you ll bring to the role:
12+ years of professional experience related to HSE.
A minimum of 7 years of experience in a supervisory role.
Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and lead in a highly matrixed environment.
Technical expert in at least one functional area within HSE and has advanced knowledge and competence in HSE.
Country specific HSE certification is desired
Minimally should have a college/university degree in safety management, industrial hygiene, environmental science, occupational health and/or medicine, engineering, or related field.
