JOB DESCRIPTION Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager :
Accountability The post holder is accountable directly to the Managers. The Assistant Manager or Deputy Manager has line management responsibility for business, and, with the Manager, shares management responsibility for all staff within the service.
Role and Responsibility :
The core responsibility of the Deputy Manager or Senior Manager is to manage the service provision of the Magnitech Engineers.
To ensure Magnitech Engineers policies and procedures are followed at all times.
To ensure standards or targets are met for Service Users and Staff
To promote the principles underpinning Magnitech Engineers.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities :
1. Managing Provision :
To have responsibility for the design, implementation and review of staff performances
To have responsibility for ensuring timely records are maintained on the system.
To work with Co-ordinators to ensure the needs of all business requirements are met.
To promote, implement and support a culture of person-centred planning in the Company.
To ensure that all staff have management clearance for any allocated duties.
To support the Co-ordinators as necessary with assessing, negotiating and deciding on the feasibility of new cases from any contracting source.
To manage appropriate and authorised investigations into complaints or incidents arising in the company.
To design and implement appropriate working atmosphere in the systems.
To always act in a manner which respects and promotes the Confidentiality of Service Users, Staff and any other involved Parties.
2. Management and Administration :
To deputise for the Manager in their absence.
To line manage Co-ordinators, and with the Manager share management responsibility for all staff within the service.
To ensure that the services is staffed appropriately.
To manage appropriate and authorised investigations into alleged misconduct or poor performance of Support Staff. Conduct disciplinary meetings as necessary.
To participate in general management and administration of the organisation.
To attend Meetings when required to do so by the Manager.
To plan and organise Staff recruitment.
Prepare reports, and monitor statistics as required by the Manager.
To work flexibly as required by the needs of the service. This may include working extra hours at very short notice in times of emergency or to cover serious staff shortages.
PERSON SPECIFICATION Deputy Manager/Senior Manager :
Essential Degree level or equivalent relevant qualification – Desirable
EXPERIENCE:
Experience of managing person centred support services.
Experience of Business Development/ handling complaints /problem solving.
Experience of working positively with families and professionals.
Essential Experience of services business development .
SKILLS :
Ability to motivate and lead a team
Excellent communication skills both written English language and verbal English language.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Essential Excellent organisation and planning skills; able to work independently and use initiative.
Ability to manage difficult situations calmly and effectively
