Rajkot: A 19-year-old college girl in Rajkot has accused her Instagram friend of threatening her after she rejected his marriage proposal. The girl has registered a complaint with the University police station.
The student of a private university stated in her complaint that she met the accused Pruthvirajsinh Jadeja, a resident of Virvav village of Mitana taluka in Morbi district on Instagram.They became friends and had been interacting regularly on social media over the last year. When they met in person, Jadeja proposed to her for marriage but the girl rejected him. She told him that her family wouldn’t allow her to marry outside their caste.
This did not go well with Jadeja, who started abusing her on the phone. He threatened to circulate her nude pictures and videos on social media if she did not marry him. tnn
