CM Inaugurates Projects: Assam CM Inaugurates 168-cr Projects in Karbi Anglong | News | Guwahati News

Guwahati: Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated multiple projects including a multi-purpose sports complex and a 3,000-seating auditorium costing Rs 168 crore in Karbi Anglong on Monday.

The CM said projects have taken the district to a new height in terms of development. The Sarsing Teron Langkung Habe Multi-purpose Sports Complex at KASA Stadium in Diphu built at a cost of Rs 75 crores will help budding sports talents to practice.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched and laid the foundation stones for projects worth over Rs 120 crore in Sambalpur district. The projects include the Burla Indoor Stadium, Sambalpur Football Academy, and Sambalpur University sports complex. The sub-panel of Chandigarh Heritage Conservation Committee (CHCC) has asked PGI to review its new multi-level parking plan due to concerns about traffic management and land availability. The 7 to 8 storey building project with a capacity of around 700 cars has been planned along the busy circular road of PGI, which receives heavy traffic. The open area where the parking project is planned is just opposite the new OPD block, further adding to traffic management challenges.
