AIG’s Furth to Hiscox to Head US Claims; Hamlin to Lead TMHCC US Hospital Pro Liability; Amwins Names Healthcare Practice Leader

Hiscox, headquartered in Atlanta, appointed Alexandra Furth as head of claims in the U.S., effective March 10.

Furth has over 20 years of claims and legal leadership experience, most recently serving as AIG’s head of casualty claims. Before AIG, Furth held deputy general and corporate counsel roles with Liberty Mutual, the University of Massachusetts and Resolute Management. Furth started her career at Ropes & Gray LLP.

Tokio Marine HCC Appoints Hamlin to Lead New US Hospital Professional Liability Business Unit

Tokio Marine HCC (TMHCC), based in Houston, Texas, appointed Greg Hamlin as president of its newly launched U.S. healthcare professional liability business. The new business unit provides excess professional and umbrella liability cover to hospitals and health systems nationwide.

Based in New York City, Hamlin joins TMHCC from Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, where he served as senior vice president for institutional accounts. He has over 30 years of experience across the healthcare professional liability sector. He began his career in Atlanta at AIG before joining Zurich North America, where he led the company’s large hospital and medical facilities segments.

Hallenbeck Joins Amwins as Healthcare Practice Leader

R.P. Hallenbeck joined Amwins, headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, in the newly created role of healthcare practice leader.

Hallenbeck is an industry veteran with 28 years of healthcare insurance experience on the carrier and retail sides. Most recently, he served as the national business development leader for MedPro Specialty. As healthcare practice leader, Hallenbeck’s responsibilities will include leading efforts across multiple divisions within Amwins.
