PATNA: A man set the Moro police station in Darbhanga district on fire after he was told that his younger brother was arrested. According to police, the incident occurred around 12.30am on Monday and the accused, Dharmendra Thakur (25), was arrested.
Darbhanga SSP Awakash Kumar said Dharmendra reached the police station with one Arun Yadav after his brother, Govinda Thakur, went missing following a fight between them.
“Someone told Dharmendra that Govinda had been arrested. This angered him. He reached the police station with Arun to look for his brother and noticed some inflammable substances kept in small containers within the premises. He spread them and set the police station on fire,” the SSP said, adding Arun was absconding.
The SSP said Dharmendra had a fight with his brother over an issue. “Govinda visited the police station to lodge a complaint against his elder brother. On being informed about it, Dharmendra too left for the police station.”
