Consecration Event: Consecration Event Celebrations To Start In City On January 14 | Allahabad News
Prayagraj: At a time when elaborative arrangements are being made for the consecration ceremony of Lord Ram at Ayodhya on January 22, the Sangam city too is preparing itself to celebrate the occasion. Various programmes have been chalked out for temples and religious places of the district from 14 to 22 January.
The CDO Gaurav Kumar is looking after preparation wherein 25 temples and religious places have been selected in eight tehsils of the district.Besides, teams of women volunteers will take out the Akshat Kalash procession and deepotsav (lightening of earthen lamps) will be held in the entire district on January 22. Along with this, selfie points will also be made at all the places where the programme will be organised. Locals will be able to take pictures of this event and upload it on the portal. Scenes related to the life of Lord Ram will also be installed at the selfie point.
Six temples have been identified in Sadar tehsil, three in Soraon, two in Meja, three in Bara, two in Phulpur, five in Karchana, two in Koraon, two in Handia.
The culture department has been made its nodal. The department official said that the programme will be organised in Ram temple, Valmiki temple and Hanuman temple. The CDO has asked to make arrangements for cleanliness, decoration etc. at all the places.
Events will be held at Maharshi Bhardwaj Statue Sthal in Sadar Tehsil, Bade Hanuman temple, Hanumat Niketan in Civil Lines, Ram Janaki temple at Triveni road, Kydganj, Sankat Mochan Chhote Hanuman temple Daraganj, Dakhin Mukhi (south faced) Hanuman temple Bhardwaj Puram Sabzi Mandi, Shringi Rishi Ashram Shringverpur in Soraon, Ram Janaki temple Shivgarh Bazar, Hanuman temple Dandupur, Hanuman temple in Meja, Ram Janaki temple, Kunwar Patti Meja, Hanuman temple in Ramnagar Bazar, ancient Hanuman temple, Gobra Tarhar Lalapur in Bara, Hanuman temple, Patel Nagar Post Kherhat, Hanuman temple, Telhan Kabra Jari and many more.
On January 22, there will be a festival of lights in the entire district during the consecration of the new idol of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya. Bhajans, kirtans, Ramayana recitation, cultural programmes will be organised in the temples.
