Angul: The one-month-old elephant calf that was dumped by its herd and lodged at Balaram Prasad forest beat house was shifted to Nandankanan on Sunday night and is in good health. “The elephant calf was constantly monitored by doctors in the beat house since Friday. The herd didn’t accept it despite several attempts. So we had to shift it to Nandankanan,” said divisional forest officer (Angul) Vivek Kumar.tnn
