The Saga’, ‘Cricket Through the Ages’, Plus More Releases and Sales – TouchArcade

Hello gentle readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for March 1st, 2024. In today’s article, we’re looking at the remaining releases of the week. There are a few really good ones today, but the bin bunch certainly isn’t going home hungry. We’ve also got the usual lists of new sales and expiring discounts for you, and that’s the lot. After how big yesterday was, I’m happy today is a little quieter. Anyway, let’s get on with the show.

New Releases

Ufouria 2: The Saga ($24.99)

The Saga ‘Cricket Through the Ages Plus More Releases and

Ufouria is one of the cult classics of the NES library, one that earned some notoriety for being one of the few top-notch Japanese titles on the console to release in Europe but not North America. This follow-up gives the game a gorgeous facelift while also staying relatively true to the original gameplay. One big difference here is that the areas are a little different each time you enter them, and I’m not sure if I would call that a good thing or not. It has one foot in the remake category and the other in the sequel category, but generally speaking I’ve enjoyed what I’ve played. I’ll have a review for you early next week.

Cricket Through the Ages ($7.99)

1709347524 242 The Saga ‘Cricket Through the Ages Plus More Releases and

We all love a bit of physics-based silliness here and there, and this is today’s offering. A comical and shockingly accurate look at the history of cricket, this is a single-button game for one or two players that will send you through nine modes of action. I mean, look at that screenshot up there. It’s like it came out of a textbook. Our pal Mikhail is putting this one through its paces and will have his thoughts on it for you all soon.

One More Dungeon 2 ($14.99)

1709347526 923 The Saga ‘Cricket Through the Ages Plus More Releases and

A spiffy-looking follow-up to the original game, and one that plays in a very familiar way to that. It’s a first-person roguelite action game where you have to explore dungeons and try to make it out in one piece. You get a wide variety of attack options, and there are five different regions to explore. Big, nasty bosses? Oh yes, it has a few. If you like the first game, this is an easy recommendation. And if you’re jumping in for the first time, I’d say you can just start here.

Kashido ($13.00)

1709347527 104 The Saga ‘Cricket Through the Ages Plus More Releases and

Based on a real board game, this is a game about placing sweets on the board in a particular way. Up to four players can enjoy this one via local multiplayer. This game has some pretty good depth to it, if you’re willing to learn it and can find some others around you who can do the same. I don’t have a whole lot more to say here. If you’re looking for a unique board game experience on your Switch, this will deliver on that.

Full of Crap ($13.00)

1709347529 101 The Saga ‘Cricket Through the Ages Plus More Releases and

The Japanese title of this is “Poop Curry“. I feel like we have hit peak gaming here, friends. Anyway, this is a card game for up to four players. The goal is to eat the curry without eating any poop. Eat three curries and you win, eat a poop and you lose. There’s a bit of bluffing involved, so part of the fun comes from tricking other players. This is actually a real physical card game in Japan, and one that is reasonably well-regarded. Multiplayer is local-only, so keep that in mind.

Virus Rush ($7.99)

1709347530 338 The Saga ‘Cricket Through the Ages Plus More Releases and

A fairly straightforward bullet hell boss rush game. You’re battling viruses inside of small arenas. There are more than fifteen of them, and they look pretty weird. You’re also a virus, and you can customize your abilities to suit your play style. It doesn’t look like terribly fancy dining to me, but who knows? You might have some fun with it.

From today’s picks, I’d gesture towards the likes of Prodeus, Unpacking, and Temtem if you’re looking to buy something. Over in the outbox, any day you can buy Donut Dodo or Galacticon is a good one. Neither list is excessively lengthy this time, so I’ll let you do your little thing.

That’s all for today, friends. We’ll be back next week with more new releases, more sales, some reviews, and perhaps some news. This was another rough week for me. I’m hoping I can have a normal one next week for a change, but I suppose I’ll just have to see what cards I’m dealt. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and as always, thanks for reading!
